How do I get referred?
Most of the cases that we see are referred to us directly via other vets; similar to a GP doctor referring a patient to a hospital for more specialist treatment and care.
Your regular vet will be able to talk through the options for your pet and this may involve further specialist surgical or medical care. Your pet may then be referred to Wey Referrals for this treatment.
Your regular vet will discuss your pet’s case with one of the referral clinicians and a full detailed medical history will be obtained from your vet prior to your pet’s appointment.
All referral appointments are made through your regular veterinary practice. As well as obtaining the medical history for your pet we will also ask your vet to write a referral letter.
Once the referral has been made, by your vet, one of our receptionists will ring you to make the appointment.
