Jane Baldwin VN, DipAVN(Surg)

Jane started nursing in 1989, qualifying as a veterinary nurse in 1991.  She spent several years as Head Nurse and gained experience, working in small animal and mixed practice.  In 1995 Jane spent a year travelling and nursing in Australia, before moving to New Era Veterinary Hospital in Jersey in 1996.

The next 4 years were spent developing the internal structure of the hospital, training nurses and implementing working guidelines.  In 1999 Jane obtained the Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing (Surgical), and was awarded the BSAVA/Petplan ‘Vet Nurse of the Year’ for the internal development of New Era Veterinary Hospital in 2000.

In 2000 Jane moved back to the UK spending a period of time at North Downs Referrals, Caterham, before accepting the Head Nurse position with Wey Referrals in 2003.

Having nursed and managed the multidisciplinary site for 2 years Jane decided to move up to become a full- time manager for Wey Referrals in January 2006.

Jane will be continuing to develop and implement new working initiatives with the clinicians and staff of Wey Referrals.
