Additional information
Advanced imaging plays an important role in our diagnostic procedures.
We have a colour flow ultrasound Doppler machine with a selection of sector and linear probes and off-site MRI facilities.
Our radiography facilities include a Potter-Bucky radiography machine with tilting table to enable contrast studies eg myelography, portovenography, and intravenous urography.
Internal medicine facilities include in-house coagulation facilities, Istat machine for arterial blood gases and bicarbonate measurements, and a selection of fibre-optic endoscopes and biopsy forceps that link to a video camera for ease of viewing.
Orthopaedic Facilities enable us to perform arthroscopy. In addition we have extensive internal and external fixation equipment for complex fracture management and advanced orthopaedic procedures, for example TPLO’s, arthrodesis, and spinal surgery.
We have separate theatres for soft tissue surgery and orthopaedic surgery to maximise sterility in addition to our vacuum autoclave.
